Niki Ghazian
By Matt • Nov 11th, 2009 • Category: Featured ModelTheSBON conducted an interview with model Niki Ghazian, a former FHM girl who currently plays in the Lingerie Football League for the Los Angeles Temptation, models swimsuits, and attends law school. The following are her responses.

TheSBON: If you could be any animal, what would you be?
Niki: A Bunny
TheSBON: What have your workouts been like this week?
Niki: Well, yesterday, my team trained up in Big Bear. Our first game is in Denver on September 18th, so we are having high altitude practices in preparation.
TheSBON: So you’re a member of the Lingerie Football League. Do you feel these practices compare to what you’ve done in previous athletics?
Niki: Absolutely. When I played college water polo, we had 4-hour practices 6 days a week. It was insane. In high school, for water polo we had practices 5 days a week, and Tuesdays and Thursdays we had morning practices in addition to afternoon practices. At the time I hated waking up at 5 a.m. when it was still dark to be at the pool, but I look back on it very fondly, because it is experiences like that which form the discipline and character to be a successful athlete.
TheSBON: How many times do you eat a day?
Niki: Five times a day. I have small meals and snacks. When considering how to eat, I think the key is to imagine the gas tank gage in your car, and measure your hunger on that scale. You always want to stay between 3/4 and 1/4 full. Starving or being stuffed is very bad for your metabolism.
TheSBON: Give me some more details. Can you spell out your full meal plan for yesterday?

Niki: Yesterday was Sunday, and I generally take Sundays off and eat what I’d like. Coffee and oatmeal for breakfast, then I had 3 slices of veggie pizza for lunch, a smoothie as an afternoon snack, and green beans for dinner.
TheSBON: Do you have any fitness secrets that got you where you are now?
Niki: Mixing up your cardio routine is the key to keeping your body on edge and making your workouts effective.
TheSBON: Of mind, body, and soul – which is the most important to you?
Niki: Soul, because a healthy soul is a precursor to a healthy mind, and a healthy body is useless when it is empty inside.
TheSBON: Do you take any supplements? Are you endorsed by them?
Niki: I don’t take any supplements. I have a hard time bringing myself to even take my vitamins or taking a tylenol for a headache. Me and pills just don’t ‘mesh’ well.
TheSBON: What makeup can you never do without?
Niki: Bronzing powder. I always wear SPF 90 sunblock on my face to prevent sun damage to my face, but I tan my body. So if I don’t wear bronzer, my face looks very white compared to my tan body.
TheSBON: What line of products do you use?
Niki: My Favorite make up line is Too-Face, they have the most beautiful shades of eyeshadows and glosses. For foundation I use Nars, [which] has a very natural finish.
TheSBON: Do you sleep on your side, back, belly?
Niki: I sleep on my back with my pillow over my face to keep the light out. Weird, I know.
TheSBON: How do you juggle going to the clubs and living it up, but keeping in shape for your photoshoots?

Niki: I usually only go to clubs if there is an event I need to be at, socially speaking, or if Im hired to show up. I am in law school, in training for football, and a model. I don’t have much time these days.
TheSBON: How much water do you drink a day on average?
Niki: As much as I can. It is rare to find me not carrying a huge bottle of water with me at any given moment.
TheSBON: What do you like the most about being a model?
Niki: Being able to model is like being publically bestowed with an official seal of beauty, as it is defined by modern conventions. There is nothing that can bolster your CONFIDENCE more than being part of such a prestigious and privileged industry, and that in itself is one of the greatest gifts one can derive from a ‘job.’
TheSBON: Do you feel being a model has more to do with genetics or how you take care of yourself?
Niki: Definitely how you take care of yourself. Everybody has their flaws, it is about being able to work around them. Of course you need some good genetics, but you also need to know how to accentuate your physical assets in a manner that outshines your flaws.
